About Newberg Pathfinder Club
The Newberg Pathfinder Club helps boys and girls ages ten to
eighteen develop and strengthen their relationship with Jesus while gaining
skills and interests to enrich their lives now and in the future.
Some activities used to convey Jesus are: Bible study, leadership training, temperance training, vocational skills, community service, household skills, recreation, arts and crafts, camping and hiking, nature study, and marching drill teams.
Our most extensive project to date is an HO scale train layout (yes, our Director is a train nut) replicating our local Newberg train yard. We plan to display our graffiti-painted train cars at model train shows as a way to share Jesus.
We meet the first and third Saturdays of each month from 2 PM to 4:30 PM and the Wednesday prior to those Saturdays from 7 PM – 8 PM at the Newberg Seventh-day Adventist church, 530 Edgewood Drive in Newberg, Oregon.
We may be a rag-tag bunch of staff, but we love Jesus and want all the kids to, rather than just “believe in the God of their parents,” learn to love Jesus and have his or her own personal walk with Him.
God has worked amazingly for the Newberg Pathfinder Club providing for us in ways we couldn’t imagine. He gives us the courage to stand for Him, He makes us Forever Faithful if we let Him, and He has chosen each and every one of us to be His children. We give Him many thanks for the blessings of Jesus.
